Word Meaning: Future Perfect = an advanced tense describing an action that WILL BE COMPLETED before a specific time or event in the future. It looks back from a future point and says action is already finished by then. Phrasal Verb Meaning: look ahead = think about future. Example: When you look ahead, you imagine future achievements. The future perfect tense will allow you to speak about the future in a really interesting way that may not exist in your own language. We use it in two ways: Imagine you are a university student now (present). Six months from now, you will finish university. A year from now, next year at this time, what things will already be over? Next year at this time, I will have finished university. I will have completed all my classes. I will have passed all my exams. 2. When to Use the Future Perfect Tense ITEM 1: Completed Before Specific Future Time Word Meaning: Specific future time = a point like By next July, By 9:00, By Monday, By next summer, By 2026. Phrasal Verb Meaning: move to = relocate. set up = establish. ITEM 2: Completed Before Another Action in Future Word Meaning: Linking two future events – first event completed before second future event happens. Uses before, by the time. Phrasal Verb Meaning: go to bed = sleep. ITEM 3: Common Time Expressions Word Meaning: Time expressions signal future perfect. Phrasal Verb Meaning: look up = search. 3. How to Use – Grammatical Explanation – Structure, Negative, Questions ITEM 4: Positive Structure – Subject + will have + Past Participle Word Meaning: Subject = I, You, We, They, He, She, It or any noun. Past Participle = V3  for regular verbs same as past tense (worked, brushed), for irregular verbs third form (gone, seen, left, done, given, taken, written). Phrasal Verb Meaning: carry out = complete. Irregular Verb Examples: ITEM 5: Negative Structure – will not have + V3 / won’t have + V3 Word Meaning: Negative = action will NOT be completed. Add not after will.
