The Root: REPRESENT (Verb)

Etymology: re (again) + present (to show) = to present again on behalf of something.
It has TWO core meanings:
Meaning 1: To Act or Speak on Behalf of Someone (To stand in the place of)
When a person represents a company, they don’t just work for it — they speak with its authority at meetings, conferences, or courts.
